Leaflet I designed for RIAS employees explaining their new Home Protection service. The gate folded leaflet opens to reveal all the different elements that are covered by the Home Protection service. This design style has since been carried across a number of design products creating a brand identity, which the employees can recognise as their own brand.

It has only taken eight months but I finally have pictures to post of my anamorphic typographic poster, which was featured at last years D&AD new blood exhibition. The work, which was inspired by my final major project at uni, is based on curiosity and how tactility of both sight and touch can inspire our lost sense of curiosity.
The A1 poster is made up of 176 laser cut and engraved pyramids which were had assembled.
The paper is GF Smith Plike.
The typeface is New Johnston Book

It has been a while since my last post. Since graduating it has been pretty hectic. I have started full time work at The Global Group in Bournemouth. Now a fully fledge Junior Designer. Lots of exciting work.
I have posted this piece I did a while ago whilst working at Global. It was a good opportunity to get some typography involved. These plate liners were designed for Hall and Woodhouse using various food related themes. The blue was famous food sayings, the green was words relating to food and the red (my favourite) song names relating to food. There were lots of them!
Created as part of my university Extended Major Project, this book utilises various techniques such as embossing, die cutting and french folds as well as textured papers in order to provide an interactive experience that will encourage lost curiosity. Interaction with tactile artefacts is an important part of our human need for curious exploration. The advent of new technologies has limited the scope of our curiosity leaving our interaction reduced to mouse clicks and key strokes.
New brochure design for Horizon Socks. The coloured lines throughout the brochure represent ski slopes with the colour depicting the various difficulties associated with the slope. The brochure unfolds to A1 size with each folded section devoted to a type of sock.
Tonight is the D&AD New Blood private view. My work has been chosen, amongst a selected few, to represent AUCB at the show. Our show has been a great success here in Bournemouth with our stand at New Blood also winning the best stand award. Along with my anamorphic typographic poster (made up of approximately 200 laser cut and etched pyramids) my Curiosity By Design book and ISTD winning book have been featured. It feels great to see all this hard work paying off. Hopefully I will have more pictures of the show to post up soon.
My degree show “Disperse” will be opening next week. The website featuring all the work from the BA(Hons) Graphic Design students at AUCB can be seen at http://www.disperse2011.co.uk
Below is a description of the show taken from the website:
Disperse is a metaphor for our class as a collective. Like the particles of our logo we will fly apart, our various career paths leading in every direction. There is also a subtle implied metaphor in the way the particles return to create the logo once again just as the strong community created on the course draws many alumni back.About the invites and poster:
Our invitations this year are designed and made by our design team on campus featuring foil blocking and most notably laser-cut and engraved on the reverse. Our limited edition series of A1 posters are laser-cut on the GF Smith colorplan range with our logo.
